Insight Reports

Hi Anxiety was designed as a pilot project to see if a replicable model could be designed to take the learnings from social and emotional learning (SEL) in the classroom and bring them into the digital space. We believe we have created an initial framework, and our goal is to offer our lessons learned freely and publicly so they may be replicated, built upon and disseminated at scale. Our hope in releasing our learnings is that more and more young people can be better supported in the digital spaces they already are, as we believe digital well-being is critical to our collective future.

Below are four reports from our work from March 2020 - March 2021, the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our first report, “2020: Meeting the Moment,” reflects on an unexpected and incredibly challenging year. The number of people seeking support from Hi Anxiety sky-rocketed; how we worked as a team necessarily had to change; and how we created content to meet the many difficult moments of the year required near constant evolution. We moved through the year together with compassion, commitment and grace.

The following three reports take a deep dive into our major campaigns for the year - one featuring testimonials from young celebrities, videos designed to help destigmatize mental health conversations; one a community-driven approach as we amplified expert-vetted anxiety tips and tools shared by our audience; and one where we consistently helped our audience reflect and build self-awareness through SEL prompts.

We learned A LOT during these times, and we’ve documented what we can in the reports below. We invite you to build upon our lessons and insights.
